Hello everyone,
I know you are getting excited about the Annual Westie Club Picnic coming up so we wanted to send out this update. The date is Sunday, May 19th from 11:30 - 4:30 and it will be held at the Pinckneyville Park and Soccer Complex in Norcross. The full details for the picnic can be found on the WHWTCGA website ( ).
Please RSVP to Sue Stanley right away for planning purposes. If you would still like to attend, we would love to have you, just RSVP to Sue at suesteve94@comcast.net or call her at 770-827-4356.
Please let Sue know how many in your party and what you will be bringing. (Appetizer, salad, side or dessert). The club will provide the rest.
Don Mallik will be doing the Earth Dog trials this year, weather permitting.
Also if you have a rescue and Please let Michelle Voight know that you wish to participate in the rescue Parade, please do so by May 12. Her e-mail is dmvoight@bellsouth.net . She will need owner's name, how long you have been with the club, your dog's name, when you adopted your rescue and whatever “story” you would like to tell about your dog's past and their life now in their “fur-ever” home. The Rescue Parade is always a fun part of the picnic so if you have not already contacted Michelle, please let her know soon so you can show off all of your wonderful rescue Westies.
We will also have a contest for the Best Parlor Trick, prizes included! So start thinking of what your Westie might like to do to show off. I would like to have a list of contestants so please let me know if you are interested in entering the contest.
Volunteers are needed to help set-up and clean-up. Please let Sue know when you RSVP if you can come early to help set-up or stay a little after to help with the clean-up. If you can help with the set-up, please plan to arrive by 11:00 a.m. or as soon as you can so we will have everything ready for the 12(noon) start time. Thanks in advance for everyone's help.
Please also remember to bring X-pens, water bowls etc. for your Westies and chairs for yourselves. We look forward to seeing everyone and are hoping for wonderful weather!! Please check the list below.
