Amis and Otis

Amis and Otis came into our Rescue Club, having been found on the side of the road in a rural area. A local shelter took them and searched the small town for their owner. When no one claimed them, they called the WHWTCGA. Without question we agreed to take the dogs in and find them a good home.

When they arrived at our foster volunteer, they both had a very bad case of Malassezia (Yeast Infection on their skin), a bad case of fleas and were very malnourished. They weighed < 12 lbs and their eyes were teary and droopy. Although they were in bad shape, they were extremely loving and had the sweetest temperaments.

To help them recover and regain their health, they were put on a good diet and given several supplements to improve their skin, coat and immune system. In addition, they received baths twice a week to help ease their itching and allow their skin to recover.

As the weeks and months went by their health continued to improve - it was so amazing to see these boys who were once so sad turn out to be so handsome!

After six months, they were adopted to a fantastic family and are doing extremely well living a very happy life.
