Buddy & Mac

Buddy and Mac came into our rescue program from the Cairn Terrier Rescue. In response to a multiple dog surrender, the Cairn Terrier Rescue group rescued these two wonderful westies along with some Cairns. When dogs are surrendered together, we normally attempt to place them together, as the dogs normally have established a bound with each other. In this particular case, although Buddy and Mac got along, they gave no indication that they had bounded into a "pack".

After verifying this by observing them when they were separated from each other, it was decided that they could be placed separately. Buddy has become a member of a family with two children that were anxiously waiting for a westie rescue. Mac is doing wonderfully living on a quiet cul-de-sac with many neighborhood "dog" friends.
