Heidi & Sadie

Heidi & Sadie Heidi and Sadie had been breed dogs up north. They were acquired by a lady who cared for them; however, her career circumstances changed so that she was required to travel. She only had the girls for a short time, but the girls were very well cared for. Even though the girls had been breed dogs, they were very dependent on each other. A friend of mine had nicknamed them the Dolly Parton's because of the long nipples from all the puppies. They had been given a haircut to hide their nipples which made them look a lot more overweight than they were. I had my groomer give their skirts a different shape, and they looked much better. Heidi was the talker, but both were very playful. Because they were so used to being in a crate, they had a tendency to go to the crate to take their naps. They got along well with my girls, and I even got a picture of my own three with Heidi and Sadi at the top of the stairs.

Because the 2 girls had been together so long we wanted to try to place them together. It took three tries to find the right family to take both girls, but it was worth the wait. They were adopted by a family with two adults and two teens. This adoption was very much a family affair ,and the two teens asked tons of questions as to what kind of care would they need. The neatest thing was that when the family signed the adoption papers, the son and daughter also signed it with their parents. Sadie is still called Sadie, but they changed Heidi's to Gabby which suits her very well.
