Katie

On Sunday, May 22nd (or thereabouts) we welcomed a little girl named Katie plus all of her toys and bed into the Gaskin household. She is a pretty big westie and is approximately 8 years, 7 months old. Who wants a practically 9-year-old westie? Well, we did and we’re very glad we made the decision to adopt her. Katie is not very fond of motorcycles, bicycles, joggers, fireworks and lightening but she loves watermelon (big or small chunks). She loves to chase squirrels and is not as fast as she used to be, but can still run fast when she needs to. Katie is great in the car and very patient. She props herself up and whines to let you know it’s time to let her out. Her previous owners must have trained her well. Like most westies we have owned, she has a mind of her own and is stubborn to the point of refusing to go outside even when my husband is pulling on her leash. Katie hides dog biscuits and we find them in the bathroom, the linen closets, living room, and under the sofa. Often she hides them so thoughtfully we can’t find any of them.

Katie has brought us warmth and is very dear to us. We hope to have her for a long time.

Cordially,

Joan and George Gaskin
